Do you feel isolated and alone? Maybe you feel that no one understands what you are going through.
Let me introduce you to my best friend—Jesus. He understands your deepest needs, fears and insecurities. Maybe you are asking, “How can this be?” Because He came to earth and lived as a man. Like you and me, He felt alone, isolated and rejected. Hebrews 4:14 tells us, “Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.”
He is where we can know that Jesus understands what we are going through. Hebrews 4:15 says, “For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.”
Isn’t that exciting? After telling us this, Jesus gives us an open invitation to come to Him in verse 16 of Hebrews chapter four: “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace in our time of need.”
Jesus is just waiting for you to call out to Him today. Won’t you accept His invitation to His throne? Remember, He has experienced isolation and grief.
Experience the grace He has for you by praying this prayer today:
“Jesus, thank you for coming to earth to die on the cross for me. I need you, Lord, to take away these feelings of isolation. Replace them with your peace. Give me your strength and hope to make it through each day. In your Name, Amen.”
