GO !

Jesus is depicted in the Gospels as proactive….and He expects His disciples to follow in His steps.
Numerous times He gives commands to individuals, often prefaced with the little word GO.

Here are a few examples:

GO…..and sin no more (Jn. 8:11)

GO…..in peace (Lk.8:48)

GO…..and prepare the Passover (Lk.22:8)

GO…..and bring forth fruit (Jn.15:16)

GO…..and wash in the pool of Siloam (Jn.9:7)

GO…..and call your husband (Jn.4:16)

GO…..and show yourself to the priest (Lk.17:14)

GO…..out quickly into the streets of the city and bring in the poor, the lame, and the blind (Lk.14:21)

GO…..in peace and be whole of your plague (Mk.5:34)

GO…..and walk with him the second mile (Mt.5:41)

GO…..and learn what this means: “I will have mercy and not sacrifice” (Mt.9:13)

GO…..and work today in my vineyard (Mt.21:28)

GO…..into the highways and bid all you find to come to the marriage (Mt.22:9)

GO…..your ways: Behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves (Lk.10:3)

GO…..your way; as you have believed, so it shall be done for you (Mt.8:13)

GO…..your way and first be reconciled to your brother (Mt.5:24)

But the imperial and imperative command to GO is found in The Great Commission:

GO…..into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. (Mk.16:15)

GO…..ye therefore and teach all nations (Mt.28:19)
