Expect Great Things!

In the gospels there are several stories of sick or lame people who call out to Jesus to heal them.  They knew—beyond a shadow of a doubt—that if Jesus would touch them, they would be healed. They expected that a positive change would take place in their lives.

We, too, should have that same expectation when we encounter our Lord.  He is so faithful! He meets us where we are—but thankfully, He does not leave us in our empty state.  He fills us with good things:  joy, peace and love.  He gives us what we need to live an abundant life.

Have you allowed Jesus to touch you lately?  His hand is gentle and you won’t be the same after He reaches out to you.

What is it that you need?  Ephesians 3:20 tells us, “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think…”  Whatever your need is, the Lord is so good that He will meet you need and even go beyond.  He loves to bless His children.  He won’t withhold any good thing from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11).

I Corinthians 2:9 shares this with us, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

Because of this, we can be confident that our Jesus not only wants to meet our needs, but He loves to surprise us with blessings that have never even entered our minds!
