God Can Do Anything

“Sarah said, ‘God has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me.’ And she added, ‘Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet I have born him a son in his old age’” (Genesis 21:6,7 NIV).

I love people with a sense of humor, who love to laugh! Do you?

I would liked to have known Sarah, the woman in the Bible. She had been married for many years, but had never had a baby.

One day God told Sarah’s husband, that they would have a son. Sarah laughed loudly because they were so old. She thought it would be impossible.

About a year later, Sarah miraculously gave birth to a son. She laughed again, this time with joy. In fact, she named her baby Isaac, which means, “he laughs.”

Sarah had been wrong about what God could do.

God has plans for our lives. Sometimes we may laugh when He shows us what they are. We doubt God can make them happen, or we doubt our own capabilities. The thing is, we are forgetting what a great and powerful God we serve.

If God wants us to do something, He will give us all we need to accomplish it.
