Ephesians 4:12-16

Until the Church comes together in the mission of building each other up and reaching a lost world, we will never attain “to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”  The Church needs pull together, that we may “no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming.”

Romans 15 says that we need to build one another up selflessly, even as Christ did for us.  We must always be learning and understanding, open to the move of God and always ready to grow.  Even as we speak, however, the Body of Christ is being formed and molded for one, unified purpose.  Love is what makes it grow.  “Love one to another,” as Christ said.  This is how the world will know that we are His disciples and His people.

As the children of God, we must grow and learn from Him, gaining knowledge, training, and experience in His trade, become all that He has purposed for us, and depend on Him for all we need to grow and be equipped for eternal life.  As heirs, all that He has we are entitled to, provided that we are mature enough to use it.  We can personally come to Him and seek Him for answers.  One day, He will put us in charge of all that He has, once we have matured enough.
