Stewards

“Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.” (I Corinthians 4:1)

Jesus told his disciples that He had given them the keys to the kingdom of heaven—He gave us the principles we need to live by to make a difference in eternity.  Therefore, we have access to the things of God if we live by the Spirit, live holy lives, and follow His will.  God is the still, small voice that will guide you in all truth—if you are faithful to listen to Him.

“He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.  Therefore, if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?”  (Luke 16:10-11)

Do you want to become great?  Then serve others.  Do you want to understand great things?  Then become like a child.  Servants are faithful to obey their master.  Children are faithful to trust their elder.  Trust in and obedience to God concerning the small things is the most important lesson we can learn in our lives.  Do you want to be given grace?  Then be humble.  Do you want God to draw near to you?  Then draw near to God.
