Cherish Your Spouse

Foundational Scripture:  “Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” Ephesians 5:1-2

                                                                                       
C aring – Be willing to be inconvenienced for your spouse (John 11:33-38).

H earing – Be open to listening to your spouse (James 1:19).

E ncourage – Give your spouse words of encouragement (Hebrews 3:13, 10:25,  I Thessalonians 5:11).

R espect – Give honor to your spouse (Ephesians 5:33, I Peter 2:17).

I ntercede – Plead your spouse’s case, especially to the Lord (Romans 8:26, Hebrews 7:25).

S erve – Find ways to work for and support your spouse (Galatians 5:13).

H umble – Don’t be proud or arrogant (Ephesians 4:2, James 4:6, 10).

Our worth only comes from the Lord.
Cherish God first and then your spouse.
Is there anything you value more than your spouse? (job, ministry, children)
