Communication

How Jesus Treated Women

The focus of this study is the biblical foundation for the development of marital communication skills. In order to accomplish this, Christ’s communicative methods used in His conversations with five women will be examined. The conclusions drawn from His interaction with them will show why His technique must serve as the final authority for effective marital communication.

Who’s the Boss?

By writing to the church at Ephesus, Paul has provided us with an analogy concerning the love of the husband for his wife and Christ’s love for His church (Eph. 5:22-33). The covenant of marriage was founded on the basis of mutual consideration and respect. Each partner has equal responsibilities to one another and to the Lord. The New Testament has elevated marriage to a high level, regarding both husband and wife worthy of equal honor because of Christ’s sacrifice.

A Woman’s Question

some piercing questions for men in her 1934 poem.

Same Old Fights?

Do you fight the same fight over and over? Have you disagreed more than once with your husband over the same issue? Think about the fights you have. Is there any way to avoid them?

Marital Communication

For many, the term “communication” is ill-defined. Properly understood, communication involves both sending and receiving. Most men desire intimacy with their wives, but few understand the art of true communication.

Wives, this is an exercise to rate your husband’s current status.  It is a great idea to sit down with your husband after you have completed this and discuss each of these items in love.

How Do I Rate Myself?

This is an exercise for both spouses.  Once you have filled them out privately, exchange papers with each other and discuss your results.
